Bringing Cultures of the World Together in Ghana

The Ghana International Folklore Festival (GIFF) welcomes cultural and folklore groups from Ghana, Africa and around the world to come together in Ghana for a unique celebration of traditional music, dance, costumes, storytelling and cultural heritage.

An International Cultural Exchange

GIFF is more than a performance festival.

It is designed to create meaningful opportunities for participating teams to interact with one another, experience different cultures and develop lasting international relationships.

Accommodation arrangements will be organized by the festival according to the approved participation package and team requirements.

Host Family Programme

In addition to the Accommodation Village, GIFF will offer a Host Family Programme for selected participating teams.

The programme will connect international participants with carefully selected Ghanaian host families, creating an opportunity for visitors to experience Ghanaian hospitality and everyday community life.

The programme may allow participants to:

  • Experience Ghanaian family life
  • Share meals and cultural experiences
